Where to go for a great meal in Bangkok! We mean really good food, worth the trip good…

In no particular order, we had good food in all these places, we went on recommendations and hours searching online, they were affordable and of good quality and they suit all budgets and tastes;

Desi Beats, lovely Indian place, with nice food, decor and views of town,  Thong Lo

Japanese place with heads outside, crazy Japanese vibes, good food and prices, Thong Lo

Shades of Retro have the really really good burgers, Thon Lo

Also with good burgers, a good beer selection and a great gaming concept, “Game Over,” also in Thong Lo

Khun Churn: really delicious vegan restaurant in Ekkamai, near the BTS

Brocolli revolution, vegetarian restaurant, great standards, Phrom Pong/Thong Lo

Rasayana amazing raw vegan food venue, recommend the visit, Phrom Pong

Bamboo, lebanese restaurant with shisha and a lot of charm, Nana

Enchanted bar, affordable, modest, mediterranean cuisine, J Avenue, Thong Lo (J Avenue has quite a few decent other options, like Greyhound Cafe for lunch and Au Bon Pain for breakfast)

Quince, really good quality and effort, bit pricey, but good mediterranean food, Phrom Pong

Osito Unique had great and delicious Spanish tapas in Ploen Chit

Lemoncello, great pizza place, Thong Lo

Thai Food

Lovely Ihsan food at Madame Langsuan in Ploen Chit

Ban Rie, near Ekkamai BTS, has great Thai food and a good menu

Sabai Jai, also Ekkamai, also Thai food, and also really good!

There’s great, really great, Thai Food and accomodation at Shanti Lodge in Dusit

Nearby Shanti Lodge is Steve, which is awesome, really really good and well regarded (as well as also being nearby four other decent and well regarded restaurants, all worth a trip, or rather an adventure, to find. They are all on the river front.)

Storyline, cool workspace with a killer food, Phrom Pong

Featherstone, cute cafe with a good menu and environment, Ekkamai 12

24 Owls, in the same Soi, 24hours cafe serving great food and cakes, Ekkamai 12

Kaffe 50, Ekkamai, really good pulled pork burgers, croque monsuiers and egg and bacon sandwiches, as well as a good cafe drinks list too

Street food, food courts and malls:

There’s lots of good options if you just walk around the food courts, like in Terminal 21, Ekkamai Gateway, Central world and so on. There’s also great normal restaurants too, too many to choose from!

Highly recommend The Commons also, lots of good choices there, it’s in Thong Lo

Outside Central world there is also a lot of street food. For really good street food head to China Town. Also good areas to head to are Saphan Lueng, Silom and Sathorn.

Ekkamai Soi 30 and around, good street for food, food shopping, snacks, street food, and Thai street restaurants

The Japanese Teppanyaki in food court downstairs at Terminal 21, Asoke, just great, very garlicy teppanyaki!

Food court round W district, has great choices and vibes, Phra Khanong
